Dan MacLellan is the president of MacLellan & Moffatt Health Insurance Ltd which is one of the largest providers of life, health and travel insurance in Atlantic Canada, as well as across the country. Dan has been working in the industry since 2004.

The MacLellan & Moffatt Group of Companies are independent brokers representing every major insurance carrier in Canada.

Dan specializes in the area of living benefits which includes: disability, critical illness and health insurance. His practice is tailored specifically to the needs of medical and dental professionals across Atlantic Canada.

Dan and his team are also the Nova Scotia representatives of Lawyers Financial (formerly known as the Canadian Bar Insurance Association) and work with over 2500 lawyer in Nova Scotia.

Starting with a direct focus on wealth & health protection, he can advise you how to create a foundation on which you can build your practice.

Dan was born in Halifax, but grew up in Truro for most of his young life. Dan is a graduate of Acadia University, and a Certified Health Insurance Specialist. Dan is an avid skier, and a terrible, but aspiring golfer. He lives with his wife, daughter and twin boys in the Armdale area of Halifax.

Patrick Gilbert

Patrick Gilbert is an independent Financial Advisor under the MacLellan & Moffatt Group of Companies.

Pat started as an advisor in 2013 and joined the MacLellan & Moffatt team in 2017. He specializes in individual insurance and investment planning, with a strong emphasis on life, disability, and critical illness insurance.

Pat is also part of the team that represents the Nova Scotia division of Lawyers Financial (formerly known as the Canadian Bar Insurance Association), actively working with lawyers and their staff across the Province to provide high level insurance advice.

Pat prioritizes developing a trusting relationship with his clients, offering in depth insight that is unique to each individual, family, or business that he works with.

Pat was born and raised in Halifax, NS and lives in the Armdale area with his fiancé Ashley. He is a passionate sports fan (go Habs go), who when away from the office frequents the golf course, the rink, or the ball field.
